Applications with Conceptual Structures Workshop

Rationale and Perspective

Traditional workshops accompanying the ICCS conference are practical research forums in the theory and practice of conceptual structures. They bring together researchers to exchange new ideas and to demonstrate working applications based on CGs.

The Applications with Conceptual Structures workshop will primarily focus on:
(1) the state-of-the-art in the development of applications with conceptual structures and
(2) the theoretical and software design foundations of such applications.

The workshop will also focus on performance issues in domains of application of CGs. A continued emphasis (in last year's CG Tools workshop tradition) will be placed on increasing the iteroperability among CG applications.

The aim of the workshop is to bring together researchers and practitioners from diverse fields, such as CG and FCA researchers to:
(1) examine the design principles and performance characteristics of various approaches in applications with conceptual structures and
(2) increase the cross-fertilization of ideas on the development of such applications among different domains.

By encouraging idea sharing and discussions the workshop is expected to stimulate the future development of new models, new methodologies, and new tools for building a variety of embodiments of applications with conceptual structure.

The workshop aims to bring together researchers interested in building conceptual structures applications.
